Location
Built around 1700 by the ancestors of the present owners, the villa stands in 3 hectares of private grounds planted with olive and citrus trees, vines and flowers. The tranquil hillside location in the traditional village of Amonaklios affords magnificent views over Korthi Bay on the island’s southeast coast.
The bay, renowned for its outstanding windsurfing conditions, along with its delightful town and marina is just a 5 minute drive from the residence. However, the area can also be explored on foot thanks to a network of ancient pathways, that connect many of the nearby picturesque villages or extensive network of hiking trails, one of which (No. 4) passes by the villa.

Description
Constructed with native stone, the villa and adjacent guest cottage have been lovingly restored in order to offer greater comfort and practicality, while fully preserving their original character. The main house comprises a spacious lounge with dining area and a well equipped kitchen. The master bedroom has a double bed, sitting area and a private cave-like bathroom. On the same level there is a second double bedroom with its own shower and WC. These bedrooms share an extended veranda, accessed from one of the oldest parts of the residence where bread used to be baked in a huge oven, which is now the third double bedroom.
A few steps down from this old ‘bakery’ is a utility room and a bathroom, next to which is the former stable, now the fourth double bedroom with a charming bathroom. Once a dovecot, the guest cottage has been tastefully refurnished to provide a cosy haven offering comfort and absolute privacy, with its own double bedroom and bathroom. The villa has several inviting areas for dining and relaxation both in the sun and in the shade, either by the swimming pool – discretely enclosed by stone walls – or on one of the terraces overlooking the bay and surrounding countryside. And each day, the gardener is more than happy to provide guests with fresh eggs and seasonal vegetables from the villa’s own organic garden.
