Location
The house stands on a southwest-facing hillside just 15 km from Tinos' main town and port. Harmoniously integrated into the surrounding environment, its elevated position offers truly breathtaking views across the sparkling blue Aegean as far as the island of Syros. Set on 1.5 acres of private land, the grounds have mulberry and olive trees, a dry garden and an organic vegetable patch, from which guests can pick herbs and other ingredients for their culinary creations. A spring drips water even in the dry season, which collects in a small pond with water lilies. Naturally cool in summer and equipped with central heating for winter, Sky Dream Villa is solar powered, with every effort having been made to preserve the natural landscape. The nearest village, widely considered one of the most beautiful in Greece, is picturesque Kardiani, which can be reached in five minutes by car or 20 minutes along a gently sloping footpath. The sandy beaches of Yiannakis, Kalyvia and Agios Petros are only a five-minute drive away. Conveniently sheltered from the north wind, the first has two fish tavernas and the second a laid-back beach bar.
Description
The main house has a total surface area of 297 m2 and can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests. In total there are four sea-view bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and veranda. The master bedroom on the ground level has a king-size bed and two desks. The other three bedrooms are on the upper level and for greater privacy are accessed separately from their own stairways. One has a king-size bed that can be separated into two singles, while the other two have queen-size beds. All four beds are fitted with ultra-comfy, eco-friendly Coco-Mat mattresses made of sustainable materials.
In the two sitting rooms on the ground level, guests will find two fireplaces and an interesting collection of books. On this level there is also a spacious fully equipped kitchen with quality appliances and a comfortable dining area, plus an extra bathroom with shower. The uncluttered interiors are tastefully furnished and immediately inviting.
Outside there is a choice of three dining/sitting areas, some sheltered from the wind, where guests can either socialise or relax in private as they take in the magical Aegean sunset or contemplate the star-filled night sky.
A short walk from the house there is a small plunge pool and deck where guests can soak up the sun and cool off with a refreshing dip.
