Standing in the heart of the picturesque harbour town of Livadi, this two-storey house enjoys a privileged location opposite the marina with marvellous views across the bay. One of the original family homes on the waterfront, the traditional residence combines the advantages of its central location with authentic Cycladic charm as exemplified by the inviting flower-filled courtyard at the rear. Within 10 minutes' walk of two lovely beaches and a choice of tavernas, bars and shops just a few steps away, the house is ideal for exploring Livadi, but also the perfect base for discovering the rest of the island. In addition, a number of boats offer short trips to more secluded beaches as well as to nearby islands such as Sifnos and Kythnos.
Description
The interiors are decorated in classic island style and ooze character. The large entrance and living room with arched ceiling and original floor tiles are adorned with vintage furniture and artwork collected over the years. The two levels are connected by stairs via the garden, but only the ground floor is available for rental.
The ground floor consists of the family living room, traditional kitchen and a spacious double bedroom equipped with air-conditioning and a ceiling fan, with direct access to the courtyard. The original outdoor bathroom has been fully refurbished to the highest standard while retaining its marble sink and beautiful hand-painted floor tiles.
The private courtyard on the ground floor, with a pergola-shaded dining area and corner seating is ideal for relaxing, surrounded by herbs and flowers.
