This secluded residence stands in a glorious spot overlooking the sparkling blue Aegean and the picturesque bay of Agios Sostis on the east coast of the island. Favourably located not far from the attractive harbour town of Livadi, the villa's elevated position affords stunning panoramic views which on a clear day encompasses up to 12 islands - Andros, Tinos, Syros, Naxos, Paros, Antiparos, Ios, Sikinos, Sifnos, Folegandros, Mykonos and Delos - all from the comfort of its spacious outdoor sitting areas. In addition to the gorgeous beach of Agios Sostis, there is also a private shingle and sand beach within easy walking distance (100 m.), which is shared with two other properties also an easy private access to the sea from the smooth rocks located just below the house (40m). Ideal for families or groups of friends, the villa offers all the amenities of authentic Greek living – including cosy indoor and shaded outdoor dining areas – combined with the timeless appeal of traditional Aegean island architecture.
Description
Standing on private land of over 1 hectare, the villa has an interior surface of 235 m2, with a total of six bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
The air-conditioned master bedroom is in the main building and features two separate en suite bathrooms (one for him, one for her) and a large veranda. A corridor leads from the master bedroom to the living room, kitchen and main indoor dining area.
In the same building there are three more double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, all accessed from the shaded outdoor kitchen and dining area. Perhaps the most impressive part of the villa, this extensive and inviting area immediately catches the eye with its traditional stone-built, wood-fired oven and barbecue, complemented by a dining table that comfortably seats eight.
There is also an independent guest house with en suite bathroom and kitchenette, can accommodate three, again accessed from outside. And finally, a separate double bedroom with entrance at the rear of the villa, which is intended for use as service quarters but could accommodate an additional two guests.
All bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans, while most have direct access to the outdoor areas and enjoy superb views.
The private land surrounding the villa is planted with a diverse array of Mediterranean trees, including lemon, orange, fig, pomegranate and olive, along with three varieties of grape vines (Sicilian Zibibbo, Italian and Greek).
