Location
Standing on a rocky hill with sweeping views of Skala Bay, the island's shoreline, nearby islets and passing ships, Villa Vista is a lived-in residence that has real character. With bright interiors, inviting outdoor areas and a sea-water pool with sun loungers and umbrellas, the house exudes a distinctly laid-back feel. A natural garden lies between the villa and a similar, adjacent property. The location is tranquil, yet just a seven-minute walk from the island's vibrant port, which has a selection of shops, cafés, bars, and restaurants. The central location also makes this gated property an ideal base for exploring the rest of the island to the north and south.
Description
The residence comprises two buildings and four bedrooms, accommodating a total of 8.
Outside, whitewashed facades contrast perfectly with blue skies above and the shimmering azure sea below. Inside, attractive wood ceilings complement wood floors adorned with traditional kilims, while antique furnishings blend harmoniously with modern comforts to create a charming rustic chic atmosphere.
The front building, right next to the pool, features a wonderful terrace with panoramic views. It comprises an entrance hall, well equipped kitchen, spacious living room, guest WC, and – on a slightly lower level – one bedroom with a single bed (115 cm), as well as a reading room with sofa (90 cm), which can also be used as a day bed, and a bathroom with shower.
The rear building, at the side of the hill, consists of three independent bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom and private entrance. On the lowest level, there is a large room with one double mattress (140 cm), one single single mattress (90 cm) and one stand-alone single bed, which is perfect for children. The bedroom at the very top has a large single bed (125 cm) and amazing all around views, plus a terrace that is ideal for star gazing, as well as air-conditioning and a built-in mini fridge. At mid-level, the room with one large double bed (150 cm) and a built-in mini fridge has two adjacent outdoor areas: a traditional covered patio and a delightful pergola-shaded yard.
